Head Guide
Born and raised in the Eastern panhandle of the mighty Okavango delta, With no single doubt mother nature raised Jr, As they say one is influenced by his surroundings Junior already new he was a conversationist at heart, he started his guiding career with Wilderness as a temporary camp assistant, As botanist he went on to attain his assistant guide license in the year 2007 and upgraded to a professional guide in 2009. Known by many and the African skies by his warm smile and firm welcome handshake he leaves all the guests he had on a safari on “I want to do this again with you soon”
With his traceable resume Jr has left his foot prints everywhere he has worked, Belmond safaris, Desert and Delta and Ker Downey had the privilege of working with Maphane till he started his own private guide journey.
An attention to detail guide of note, his best time on a safari is on a night drive on quiet dark skies, his stargazing skills leaves all his guests in awe, the calls of nocturnal animals, birds and frogs chipping make a story that sticks with his guests forever.
